I'm wondering... i just received a Coleco Bowlatronic and i'm trying to fit 2- 9 volts Duracell's in there and it's just impossible they are too thick ! Also with the Coleco's Head to Head Football and Hockey it's quite hard to fit the battery cover with a 9 volt Duracell
Anyone out there who have the same issue ??? _________________ Keep on playing... no matter what ! |

I don't know about 9 volt's but I have read that AA batteries have become slightly fatter in recent years to let them cram in more power (especially the modern rechargeables). About 4 months ago I was able to test this theory out thanks to some early 90's AA Duracells in a game I won (they hadn't leaked!!). Comparing them closely to current Duracel batteries, they were definately slightly slimmer around the waist.
It isn't only games that can suffer from this problem. I have a modern torch which cannot accept Ni-mh AA batteries due to their fatter stature.
