I've been puzzled by a question ever since I bought Nintendo's hamdheld Zelda game as a youngster/kid. It seemed like one of the more complicated ones.
I mean let's face it, a lot of games are pretty simple. Just catching balls till you drop or the batteries run out of juice.
I remember the Vtech's Tri screen games that had 3 modes/screens.
It's probably a tad up to each one's personal preference or so, but what's the most complicated/versatile handheld ever made? And I'm talking pre Gameboy etc. Games with lcd screens and such.
I saw one with an fm radio, but I'm talking about the game itself. |

VFD allows way more sprites, so you can make more complex game-play.
Nice and tough ones are:
- Crazy Kong: 2 levels, nice non-linear gameplay in level 2 (other Donkey Kong clones like Bandai Vampire are nice too).
- Firefox-F7/Astro Thunder-7: 6 very different levels!
- Q*Bert: great increase in difficulty
- Entex Turtles: complex and very hard game
- Gakken Dig-Dug: although quite repetitive levels, you can take 3 different approaches on each level, and the game gets pretty hard.
- Bandai Burger-Time. Hard game, nice Game1/Game 2 difference. |

I forgot: most complicated one technically was Coleco Zaxxon. Maybe even more expensive to make than an Adventure vision, especially if they want to manufacture it today. |

I got my first tabletop since I was a kid.
The box was a "tad" scuffed but the game is near mint. And it comes with an English/Japanaese manual.
It's a fairly complicated game in the sense that there's more than one mission to complete. Though sadly only 3.
Any similar games you peeps can recommend?

I seem to remember discussion about Fights of the Titan being fairly complex, with the multiple levels to solve and such:

It's been a long time since I tried to play it, so I can't remember how complex it was off hand though. |

Thanks again to all that have commented and shared their wisdom.
I'm curious if a tabletop or handheld game like this one (on GB) was ever released: Kwirk
I had the old green screen GB and loved it. |
