Anyone has info about the history of that company ? It's interesting to see that this company and Tandy were specialized in leather and decided to deal in electronics for whatever reason. The reason is what i'd like to know.
I mean leather and electronics are pretty far from each other...
I know that Coleco had a big industry here in Montreal, Canada, they still have a display in the original building with handheld baseball and Colecovison stuff. That could be why they have an accent on the E, we have those in french.
Saw that display in an office christmas party at a nice restaurant in the original building.

The picture of the display is not present.
I intend to ask the owners of the building if they want a complete collection of the Coleco handhelds to display.
So if you have any input on that it would be nice

Coleco started out selling leather products (like wholesale supplies I think), and then started making children's leather working kits. Somewhere along the line they started making wooden doll furniture which I guess centered them in the toy market even more. In the late 70's they decided to try their hand at the home console game market with the Telstar Arcade (which is basically a Pong variant using a Pong-on-a-chip design). That started the electronics business in Coleco... |

Interesting ! So i guess there are no connection whatsoever with Tandy. 2 leather products companies going along the same path for different reasons. _________________ Keep on playing... no matter what ! |
