Cowboy riding on a horse, shooting bad guys... anyone know?

Hello!
I'm trying to remember the name of a game I had when I was younger. It was white, it was available in the late 80's, and it had a wild west cowboy theme.

You controlled a man riding on a horse, and if I remember correctly you were moving up the screen vertically. You could aim the gun in different directions to shoot the bad guys.

What I remember most was the sound, which seemed to be a little more advanced than the average handheld game. It had some catchy tunes and good sound effects. Oh, and there was the constant clippity-clop sound of the horse as it ran. Smile

Is anyone famliar with this game?

You're spot on, it was the rather generic sounding "Western Sheriff"

I used to play this one a lot back in the day, the memories are coming flooding back.

It's been fascinating seeing many of the electronic games which were so popular when I was younger.

They're still popular with us now! Cool
