I've been watching that game in' My Ebay' for some time. It didn't sell a few times for high hundreds of dollars then I was shocked to see it had changed to a phenominal BIN price. He has now ended the listing. Maybe he saw your comment Rik Laughing

Changing topic,Mario on his site has the WORST EVER looking game that someone has ever BOUGHT!!!Adam, not even for a cent I'll ever buy that!!! Laughing The front looks like a Mattel basketball or soccer but the back of the game with the rounded speaker and the battery compartmnt closed by a screw is puzzling me.
Confused

Anyway if anyone is curious, though I haven't kept track by searching for it specifically, the most I've seen Red Line go for with box and instructions is close to $255. I've observed it routinely over $100.

Hehe, Hi Taki! Cool

No offense intended on pointing that out, I just thought it was an interesting auction. I actually had someone write to me asking if the game was really that valuable because they were concerned about having it in the house where his kids might break it or someone might steal it. Mr. Green That's what drew my attention to it...

Only two people are bidding on it... Maybe they are just messing with the seller or something... (Or they have no idea what it is...)

i find that just about EVERYTHING sold by Chickeneater is ridiculously priced. i would have bought so much crap from him but even with his prices cut in half it's still a damn rip-off.

oh, and this Epoch Cassette game console might be rare as heck, but i think it too is ridiculous:

I'd have to disagree with this generalization. I have received some fairly good deals, and his shipping prices to me in Canada are some of the most reasonable priced shipping ever. I hate it when some American ebayers think that just because I live in Canada, I can afford to pay three times what I should for shipping. It should cost between 6- 12 bucks to ship a game airmail to me. I see places on ebay that charge 25 or more. Chickeneater never over charges for shipping to Canada. I appreciate that.
Also, I have yet to have to clean crap from a game I have purchased from him. So far all of the games I have bought from him have been as described. So, in short, if I buy from him, I know the game may be a few more dollars than some, I know that shipping is very reasonable, and the game will be in the shape he descibes...usually very good to excellent.

Having said all this...no handheld game is worth $3,500 or whatever it was listed for.

Chickeneater has an ebay store. There are other ebay stores out there that also sell vintage video games. Their prices are more or less all on par from what I have seen so far, except some 'stores' charge an arm and a leg for shipping to Canada. I guess those people didn't pay much attention in geography class, and think Canada lies across the Atlantic Ocean.

I too have been quite happy with several purchases from Taki (although most were auction-style listings as I recall). Clean, as described, very well-packed.
