I'll apologise in advance If these sort of 'hello' threads should be posted elsewhere.
Anyway, I'm a 40 year old Scottish gamer living just outside Edinburgh who was lucky enough to have enjoyed the whole surgence of this wonderful gaming hobby of ours.
My very first game was 'Missile Invader'. I hoped for Galaxy Invader but Mum and Dad would only stretch for the little blue fella.
I owned "Invader from Space', 'Astro Wars' plus various other little Mattel footy and basketball games. These were sadly ditched, thrown out, given away when I bought my first computer back in 1983.
It was literally a couple of weeks ago whilst scouring EBay, I stumbled across an auction for 'Missile Invader' . The memories came flooding back and before I knew it, I'd won the auction and had it wining its way here.
That single purchase has been the catalyst and in the last 3 weeks I've managed to acquire about 10 machines. It's such an addictive area of collecting and as most machines are pretty affordable, very hard to stop!!
Looks like I'll be here for a while and look forward to getting involved and picking up some buying tips!!

Welcome !! A new friend \ collector is always welcomed here!!
Hey I began last year in the EXACT same way.Just wanted to revamp memories .. and then I got stuck , pleasently, in this world. From 0 to 400 in 500 days! It seems that as we turn 40 we kinda loose our common sense!

Welcome to the gang. It's always great to have another Brit joining even if you still are a long way away from me (Cardiff).
