Shill bidding definitely, but that still means a legit person bid over $800 on it. I reported it to eBay anyway.
Just curious, how rare is the Basketball cartridge? I still don't have that one, but I've seen at least 4 Pac-Mans sell over the last few years... Maybe Basketball is actually harder to find?

Wow, the legit bidder is sure serious about wanting it, though; he has reclaimed the high bid and has two even higher bids entered just in case! His tax rebate must be burning a hole in his pocket or something.
You would think he'd be smarter about a 0 feedback bidder running up his bid... He needs to learn to snipe! |

I think the basketball seems rare because it always sells with the unit, but the pacman2 often sells individually so we see more of them. Basketball could be the second rarest along with football. But you are right fewer basketball cartridges have been sold in the last few years than Pacman2.
Anyone have a pacman2 cart boxed they want me to take off their hands?

I have an extra boxed unit and a couple loose games. That one bidder is tempting me to go unpack them to see how much those would go for.
Poor guy has no idea. The seller is running the price up on him... That happened to me during my first year collecting and before snipes were widely known. I still cringe at the thought of what I ended up paying. Didn't know we could report them to eBay back then. |

Rik says this series of games
" are incredibly rare (I only know of one copy of most of them in the hands of collectors). "
so I thought someone might be interested in this New Old Stock

Sorry about the duff link. I copied and pasted my original message and just expected it to work. I thought it would have sold for a bit more too given Rik's description of it's rarity and it's great condition.

Yeah, I would have expected it to sell for more, but my comment is a little outdated now too... I know of several of the Smurf games out there (though I think that was the nicest one I have seen). It seems like the Smurf game is always the more common of the 'rare' Tigers. (Dual-screen, tabletop, widescreen, and this color-flip thing.) In each case I've seen more Smurfs than any other I think... (But for most of them that's still in the single digits, or barely in the teens...)

Just noticed the $820 Select A Game deal was completed, as feedback was left. Still kind of amazed at that one. |

Here's the largest lot of handhelds I've seen in a long time.
Ees een Frahnce, though, hoh hoh hoh!

Edit: got yanked for some reason... It was priced too high anyway.

not a bad price if you get for <$200. It's missing the styrofoam so it decreases value, but the box and game look good.

I'm curious how a game could be 'brand new' and be missing the styrofoam inserts... (And apparently the plastic bag it was originally wrapped in...)
