I've found heaps of games thanks to the flea markets down here over the years. Sometimes you get nothing, but sooner or later good finds are found. Game & Watch's, Tiger games by the bag full, Vectrex's and other LCD and tabletop games.
Today I found a Frog Prince tabletop Not in the best condition, but I can't argue for $10 having never owned one.
What are the USA flea markets and others around the world like?
What have you found in the past? If you found a game in the wild of late(non ebay), post it up. |

The flea markets up here in Maine are pretty small, and usually sell the same things week after week. Sadly, I've never found anything at the flea markets I've gone to, but I still go from time to time hoping I will. _________________ Emulators are for the non collectors |

I found 2 games so far at flea markets, Fabulous Fred and Speak and Spell. But i'm not going every week so it's hard to tell if there aren't more out there. _________________ Keep on playing... no matter what ! |

I'm living in a small town in Hungary. The flea market is really small here, most people don't bother to sell their unnecessary stuff for cheap.
I found only one Nintendo (wide screen) DK Jr., it was in terrible shape but cost only about 1$ so it was still a good deal as the battery cover was intact.
I found a common tabletop game at Barcelona flea market (in front of Cathedral(?) ), but I don't even ask for the price because I had no room to take it home and not really interested about that game. _________________ www.HandheldEmpire.com: open vintage hand-held game database and collectors' site. |

Australia's good weather most of the year packs out shopping centre car parks at some of them. I'll post up a pic on the weekend of how big they regularly are here. |

I've found a ton of stuff at the Good Will and Salvation Army. No good flea market finds. Haven't check there in a couple years though.
In Japan Flea markets I've found some good stuff. Once I found a boxed Virtual boy, that I didn't buy because I didn't want to carry it. The seller kept lowering the price trying to get me to buy it. I think he got down to $25 US.
Bought some smaller games there. They bring everything including the kitchen sink to the flea markets in Japan.
Cal find me more of those Tiger games in Australia.

Morning rain, no 'scab markets' today.
Maybe next week. |

Ok
Dodgy panoramic picture of one Australian flea market that takes around 1 hour to go through. It is huge and every week this big.
Found a Tomy Scramble TT and Tomytronic Racktrack. |

Nice pics.
I missed going to a "boot sale/swap meet", was on a guided tour when I was just there. Never been to one.
Dang, want to go back now and DIY vacation ... 24 hrs of flying though ...
Looks like fun, here in my area, nothing like that, usually church sales
or regularly garage sales, though there are neighbourhood sales once in a while.
Japan was fun, actually found one at a sports stadium, it was huge !
Loaded a suitcase full of stuff from there, this was years ago, and I long to go back. They also have them in parks regularily, like in Harajaku along the outside park along the road. |

Hi, you mean like those boot sales in a parking lot ?
None at all, clostest flea markets you got to drive 45 mins to, so that leaves garage sales and rummage sales and annual neighbourhood block sales.
Montreal has lots and on regular organized basis ? Sounds nice, let me know how to find out and I'll take a look see when I go. |

I know it isn't a handheld, but I just picked up another boxed Vectrex at a garage sale for $25. The box is in pretty great shape and it has the inserts but the documentation is missing. I just plugged it in and fired up Mine Storm to test it. Woohoo! It came with one extra boxed game, Solar Quest. |
