Hey guys I am having a video game themed party for my 40th Birthday in a couple weeks. Never thought I'd admit to being almost 40, but don't worry I have been 29 for the last 10 years so I expect I'll be 29 next year again. However, this year I will be forty and want to celebrate accordingly.
Wanted to know if you guys had any party ideas.
This is what I'm thinking of
1. Renting 4-5 uprights and placing throughout the house. With prizes for the top players.
2. Having Christmas trees. One super mario one, one legend of zelda, and one with small handhelds, nintendo game watches, and game watches, and key chains hanging on it. The Presents will be game boxes with ribbons tied around them.
3. Replacing my artwork with Game posters throughout the house.
4. Will have Original Nintendo Game Station with a large TV
5. A Wii Game Station on another TV.
6. Vintage game door prizes for everyone (one way to make space)
Any other ideas?
Need your thoughts on creating a game theme with Christmas lights since it will be December when I have the party
Thinking of painting a Pacman and Ghosts on something to put in the bottom of my pool and turn on the pool lights. Know of any good material to use? Please note the pool is heated and will likely be in use during the party time if doesn't rain.
Thanks in Advance,
Linda |

Too bad you don't live near me. I'd have loaned you a few of my games or offered to host the party.
I own some full size uprights:
Lunar Lander
Asteroids
Kangaroo
Sarge
Star Trek
Qix
Galaga
MsPac w/ multi game installed
Happy belated birthday. I hope your 40th was better than mine was in 2009. LOL |

The guy I rented the games from let me keep them until they are rented again. I still have them! I paid for a 1 week rental and have had them since Dec 2nd. I've had 2 more parties since and I'm trying to get a third in.
I rented :
Centipede
Joust
Star wars Pinball
Ms Pacman/Multicade with 56 games (gyruss, Phoenix, frogger, pacman, dig dug, etc)
