nice collection! missed it completely...
Strange to see rare games at moderate prices (ex. lupin the 3rd).
And only 3 bidders involved. |

I think that was also part of the auction where the rare Coke handheld was sold for a hefty price. I think the sellers are the same. |

I know for the coke game that a collector from my country bid 302 GPB. And he was not the seller.
Amazing price |

The market kind of got flooded with those a few years back (someone obviously found an old stock of them and sold about 20 on eBay). So, it's not really incredibly rare. I'd say that price was about right, considering the condition of the box... It's rare enough that you don't see it every day, but I think most of the collectors that have been around for a few years have one or two in their collections now... (Of course, with new blood entering the hobby, the price might go up again...)
It's the Escape 1000 Mazes that's worth a ton of money... |

That was actually my auction.
I don't know if the condition of the box really made a difference. I had a HUGE number of watchers but only a few people actually bid.
I saw one of these go for like $700 a few years back(in nicer condition than mine) so I was hoping to get a little more than $120 for it...oh well. |

Yeah and the reserve hasn't been met. I would expect it to go for over $2500 when the auction completes. I wonder if that will meet the reserve.

No bid history, so it must have been a Buy It Now. It was gone before the email search notifications even went out.
Did anyone here get it? |

Yeah, it's weird, it doesn't even show any bids were placed:
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=350372058704
but it clearly says 'Sold' on the listing... That's strange. Can a seller mark an item sold manually without indicating the winning bidder?
If it was boxed, I'd have really been pissed! |

Why did this go so low? NIB, never opened Redline for under $130?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170513108392
Was it because the seller was zero feedback? ('cuz eBay had Buyer Protection on it anyway!)
My daughter failed to summon me when the timer went off, or I would have made it go higher at least! |
