Hi.
The game play sound for this watch is really simple and boring.
You should have sound at the press of the mode button. If not you might not have sound on the watch. This watch uses a cut in half piezo speaker. You could open it and make sure that you have the speaker and that it is making firm contacts pos/neg.

Hi.
Things to try.
-Listen closely with your ear.
-Open case Look for existense of Piezo speaker.
-Test pos/neg sound output contacts with a volt meter while alarm is activating.
-Make sure pos/neg contacts are pressing firmly against speaker. The less pressure against piezo speaker, the less volume the sound will be heard.
Good luck

Thats great info John!
I guess over time, poor contact trouble is highly likely!
Its a lovely watch though,in super condition
I'm looking into the history of these watches!
This,as far as I can tell? is a second run joystick version!
Old pacman cartoon and a flatter joystick with centre hole.
The first run joystick version had the old pacman cartoon, but the joystick was the 'knob' type!
The third run,was new pacman cartoon and flatter joystick and coloured 'shifters' known as the 'ghost' version! |

Anyone know what replacement straps are good/fit on Tiger LCD games? I'm more into playing them, but I've got an eye on a cheap, common one I've always wanted (but I want it now, dammit!) and it has no strap. I would like to put one on it just for giggles, but to be frank, I've never worn a watch and wouldn't know how to put it on.
Anyone know where to find the cheap plastic-type straps they used? Or are there any benefits to playing these without a strap? |

Thanks, but I don't think I'll be getting it anymore. The guy wants 9 pounds to ship the watch without a strap, so that's a little outrageous. |

I'm now encountering another issue with a different watch (and this issue might make me stop collecting them). I never thought of this, but what can you do if the watch's screws are stripped on the top and you can't get them off? First watch I ever got came in the mail and I just bought a little screwdriver kit to open it and no dice. |

I have had the same problem with small screws. What I came up with that worked was "super glue". I take a small nail that will fit into the screw, and then take a SMALL bit of super glue and glue the nail to the screw. A small plyers or such can be used to turn the damaged screw out. Nails and such will work fine if there is enough glue contact to remove the screw. I have also used the cheap mini screwdrivers that can be tossed when no longer useful.
Use a SMALL bit of glue as not to get glue where you don't want it
I find many of my REPLACEMENT screws on small cheap calculators and other such items. |

Very wise, thanks! That should work, I would think. I'm not good at taking stuff apart, so the only thing I could think of was drilling them out. |

Hi.
I've drilled them out before. You gotta be real careful not to chip the board. I haven't tried a dremmel tool but that might be a good option too.
